Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Jeff Goodby - Don’t Forget to Let Your Life In

Talent: Jeff Goodby

For Jeff Goodby, inspiration came through his education at Harvard working on the Harvard Lampoon, his family, advertising luminaries like Phyllis Robinson and Hal Riney and French New Wave films. “Like Dr. John, I was in the right place at the right time, the wrong place at the right time, and pretty much avoided the wrong place at the wrong time. At its best, it was a place of crazy perfect shining people who thankfully took me in, and that has made all the difference,” says Goodby. As an artist and a painter, Goodby believes creatives should seek out things that are not advertising and pursue their careers with the perseverance of a tank and a good sense of humor.
