After earning a degree at Berlin University of the Arts, Alex began his career in 1994 as Junior Copywriter. In 2006 he joined the Serviceplan Group and was announced Global Chief Creative Officer in 2008. Today he is responsible for more than 20 offices in 18 countries with over 4,300 employees.
Alex drove forward the Group’s global creative expansion, while always maintaining its German roots. In 2019 the agency was awarded ‘Independent Agency of the Year’ at LIA, Cresta and ANDY Awards. Besides reaching No.1 rank in the German creative ranking (RedBox), the German digital ranking (BVDW) and the German design ranking (PAGE).
Alex is a regular speaker on the international creative awards circuit and has been jury president at Cannes Festivals, CLIO, Eurobest, LIA and the D&AD.
Besides his passion for advertising, he is collector of historic motorbikes and enjoys riding them in numerous races around the world.
