Chief Creative Officer, WPP Walgreens Team | VMLY&R

Mel Routhier serves as Chief Creative Officer of WPP Walgreens Team—a cross-agency team comprised of agency partners including VMLY&R, Ogilvy, Burson Cohn & Wolfe, Hogarth and Mediacom. She leads the creative development for a cross-WPP team of creatives and multidisciplinary talent across the US Walgreens business.

Prior to WPP, Mel served as SVP, ECD at DDB Chicago overseeing creative and playing an integral role in State Farm’s tagline, “Here to Help Life Go Right,” as well as its Cannes Lions award-winning “Following” campaign.

Before this, Mel worked at Chicago-based agency Trisect on clients such as YouTheory and Kimberly Clark’s portfolio of paper products. She also worked for over a decade at Leo Burnett Chicago on celebrated global brands like Kellogg’s, Procter & Gamble, Hallmark, Disney and U.S. Army.

Her work has received top honors at major industry shows like Cannes Lions, Clios, Effies, ADDYs, REGGIEs, and more.
